The third installment of Castlevania on DS has been set to be released by late 2008.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia takes place when Richter Belmont suddenly vanished. With Dracula and his armies on the loose, the Order of Ecclesia was created. The order is made up of adept and most powerful magic users around the world, they use "glyphs" as their powers. These glyphs takes power from around the world and from monsters and several sources of magic. Shanoa, another breakthrough of her being the main character because she is not a Belmont nor a Vampire Hunter, is the main character in the third installment. Shanoa is considered as the "last hope" for among all, she is the one who is proficient and adept to control "glyphs".
The game still has multiple endings to unlock like other Castlevania games and is still control though the D-Pad with few touch screen functions. And like Portrait of ruin, Ecclesia also takes place outside Dracula's castle, not only just the inside, though glyph system is introduced, the soul borrowing is still an option. With new monsters, bosses, skills, weapons and enhanced graphics. Ecclesia will bring the most of Castlevania experience in Nintendo DS.
